Newborn Alva Cloth Diapers

Why Alva? Couldn't deny that I was attracted by the price and awesome reviewed I researched on. It came with one free microfiber insert each diaper purchased. Be it newborn or one-sized, the prices are the same and obviously one-sized seems more worth in terms of more material. For one-sized diapers, most of it fits 2-3 months babies and above nicely. Hence I got newborn-sized to try out in case one-sized are too big and causes newborn explosive meconium leakage. 

All Alva are pocket diapers.

I bought 7 pieces of newborn-sized to try out (5 SM-Series and 2 SM-Minky Series) from a co-op?  (based in Singapore: Qoo10). Minky have similar waterproof function with an additional soft cloth-liked velvety material.

At SGD4.20 (USD3) per piece? It's a steal.. I love the varieties of vibrate colors and design. The outer layer is soft and not stiff nor plasticky. In my opinion, although Alva diapers are made in China, so are most brands of cloth diapers parts and product comes from there.

This is Luvable Friends cloth diaper (made in China), cost SGD14.90 (USD10.80) at a discount. I love the bird house print but this cloth diaper seems much stiff and plasticky material feel compare to the other brands I owned. Even after three washing as told by the saleslady. I'm not too sure if it is an old stock or maybe storage heat problem?

Bought additional pieces of newborn-sized bamboo insert.

They've 3-5 layers of microfiber, bamboo and charcoal bamboo inserts material available. I ordered extra bamboo inserts because I've heard so much about the good absorbency and lack of odor that I had to try them out! Singapore is known as a tropical country and the weather could be quite warm at times. Bamboo inserts are known to be cool during warm weather and keep baby warm in cool air conditioned room.

Known as Grandma Diapers or prefolds

Being a first time mom, I try to be as prepared of any unexpected experiences. Tons of different advised were given but every baby is different and overall we want what's best for our child. My mother and MIL taught me how to do prefolds as it was popular back then compare to costly disposables.

But I'm afraid of safety pins as I used to poke myself often back in the days..

Healthy Potato Wedges (Air-Fryer Recipe)

Simple potato wedges are a perfect side dish for a meal and snack. Tossing some frozen potato wedges into the Air-Fryer sure seems easy, so does this 3 minutes preparation from scratch. Crispy on the outside, it retains the soft freshness and sweetness of fresh potato inside.

Recipe Ingredients:

2 potato

Olive oil

Sea Salt

Two fresh potato

Skinned it

Chopped into wedges

Set in Microwave for 2 minutes

Pat dry on kitchen towel

Drizzle some Olive Oil

Set Air-Fryer 200 degree, 15 minutes

Sprinkle salt if desire

Serve fresh and hot.

Tamagotchi Friends

Everyone knows Tamagotchi.. These little pet devices in the 90s that everyone back then used to own at least once or secretly brought it to school and bragged within classmates. Well, I had always wished to own a dog since really young (now having two dogs and one cat, another story) and every birthday my dad would buy me a stuffed dog. One day my parents bought me Tamagotchi to test/ teach me about responsibility about loving, feeding and looking after (cleaning poop) of others before getting me a pet. And I got my first pet hamster afterwards.

2016, how and why I got my hands on one after so many years? Few days back this app famously in Singapore for quick and easy buying, selling and trading items called Carousell prompted a new group named "Tamagotchi Collectors". I went to have a look and people are selling latest brand new sets and even preloved nostalgia 90s models. But during then it did not occur to me to get one but the pink models sure are attractive. Today we went Great World City for dinner and chance upon one. Standing there contemplating, Hubs declares to buy and play. All hesitation creased to exist.

Tamagotchi Friends Review & Tips: 

Information- Gender, Age, Weight, Generation, Character name, Gotchi points, Hunger, Happiness and BFF points. (it ages faster then the older models)
Food- Meal and Snacks. (able to buy other types of food in store)
Toilet- Clean poop!
Door- Play games, Shopping, Playing in the park, to PC and to the dating place to get married.
Bump- Give and Receive items, Visiting friends (Maximum 5 times a day)
Text- Write and Exchange text messages with friends via bump connection
Jewelry Box- Collect jewelry buying at store, Bumping and Nurturing.
Memory- Friends you bump with and Ones you'd nurture before.
Medicine- Sick
Attention- Lights up when need help, your Tamagotchi will pack up and leave if you don't take good care of it. (hence need to restart a new egg)

Overall, I love the new designs available especially this pink one with heart leopard prints. Newer models seems more bulky like holding a real egg compare to old time models which are round but flat. I don't have an issue with that as I like the way the grip holds. Great for pastime as I'm one that doesn't play games on my phone but prefer playing games on devices such as Nintendo 3DS XL. Likewise reading ebook online vs the authentic feel of holding, flipping of pages and the smell of woody book. Back then little things like this made us so happy.

I bought a Philip Air Fryer HD9220 and it's worth ever single cents. This air fryer not only fries food but it also bakes, roasts and grills. making your food crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Before we bought this fryer, we had been eating out or requesting fast food delivery every single day as it took lesser time to cook and convenience wise. The only time we ate and whipped up some home cooked food was occasion celebrations like birthday. Opting for a healthier life style at once after we decided to settle down for family planning. After much researching and hesitating, I decided to get one immediately when I found out I'm pregnant and in need of much nutritious food in my diet.

Now it's the main kitchen appliance that is being used so often. Being pregnant with sudden hunger pangs that gets pretty uncomfortable while waiting for food to get into your tummy, this air fryer is a life saver as it takes much lesser time to cook.

Baking chocolate fudge cupcakes/ muffin with Philip Air Fryer...

Recipe Ingredients:

1 box of Betty Crocker's Chocolate Fudge Premixed

1 & 1/4 water

1/2 cup oil

3 eggs

Mix well

Place into cupcake mold. (13 cupcakes)

Set at 180 degree for 10 minutes.

Simple and delicious chocolate fudge cupcakes...
